"We already have the means to travel among the stars, but these technologies are locked up in black projects and it would take an act of God to ever get them out to benefit humanity….. anything you can imagine we already know how to do."
-Ben Rich, former Head of Lockheed Skunk Works
The concept of the "orbital perspective" has been leading my creative process as i seek to evade the confines of humanities terrestrial perspective and attain a broad level of awareness from which a greater understanding of the unity of humanity can be felt, inciting positive movement forward on this planet. Society has a habit of formulating our realities here on earth into a narrow spectrum of light, a mere fragment of the gamut which we consider to represent true reality. Instead of assuming authoritative roles on what is real and what is not, we are often times cast into a skewed "Lockean" reality. We are conditioned to accept common truths to be our own without finding any proof on our own accord but rather out of the assurance that the majority of the human population is content with certain conclusions about the human condition, our place on a cosmic level both physically and spiritually, and the sea of limitless consciousness, the source of thought resting within the minds reach. Within these images, objects act as portals in an effort to relay one's mind through the material universe within which we reside to stretch of the boundaries of human consciousness. The point from which the image was captured and places the viewer spatially within this concept relates to the state of cognitive dissonance in which the images were conceived, a state of limbo emblematic of the over anxious tremors of one able to see both sides of any question although likely to commit himself to neither. Standing beside two worlds, two dimensions, one of intellectual technology and one of physical technology, vying to transcend the dissonance felt and assimilate to a consistent spherical perspective. Pointing the minds eye through visual triggers, a frame within a frame directing your vision through infinity as the conscious mind endlessly moves through space and time reaching towards the part of the world that extends beyond our grasp, even when longing for certainty and conviction.
"New opinions are always suspected, and usually opposed, without any other reason but because they are not already common."
-John Locke
